Foreign Environmental Refugees


  •  It is not neccessary for governments of rich countries to help the foreign environmental refugees. The foreign environmental refugees can use their own resources from disaster. As Handwerk(2004) states, "The effects of a warming globe may not be entirely negative"(para.12). Environmental refugees appear because of disaster like ice metling from global warming, and they can take advantge of this terrible situation by using the heat. In addition, there are too many environmental refugees to be helped. Specifically, experts on migration says, "tens of millions more people in the developing world could be on the move because of disasters"(Kaklsiss, 2010, para 2). It is impossible that the governments cover all of these foreign environmental refugees because the resources are limited. Finally, the wealthy governments also have a lack of money. For example, the wealthy governments should use the money, even if it is a small amount of money, to improve their country for their nation. In conclusion, environmental refugees should have an effort to solve the problem by themselves.
